Marijuana Cultivation/Producing Seeds
There are many techniques that can be adopted in order to germinate medical cannabis seeds, but this one has been proven to perform consistently.
Fill a small glass (1.5 oz size) 3/4 with water and add a half a cap full of hydrogen peroxide. This serves to open up the shells as well as improve germination numbers. Place your seeds in the glass and tap the seeds so they sink below the water a couple times. This makes sure that the seeds are moist on the entire shell. Leave the seeds in the cup for 24 to 48 hours and then give them a touch and see if they settle to the bottom. If they go down to the bottom, it shows that the seeds are definitely set for the second phase. If they are still floating, give them a tap and allow them submerge until they too drop to the bottom.
In the next step, you will need to have a re-sealable plastic bag or a plastic container which can be sealed off in order to put the seeds inside after they are ready. Take a 1/4 section of paper towel and soak it. Squeeze the excess water off and place the seeds in a line in the center. Simply fold the paper towel over a few times and then put that in the bag or container you will be using. Now you want to make sure they get a little heat. This may be achieved many ways. You can place the bag or container on a cable box, TV or anything that radiates above room temp heat but never hot temperatures. Leave it alone for 2-4 days. You are trying to find something that can easily help keep the seeds warm and in an ideal setting in order to develop.
You want to check the seeds daily making sure that the paper towel stays damp but certainly not drenched. The seeds require moisture but cannot be saturated with water or mold can easily occur. Following 24 hrs many of the seeds will begin growing their taproots. Once a seed has grown around 1/4″ to 1/2″, you can then put them exactly where you decide to grow the plant.
This tested approach will enable you to keep a greater proportion of your medical marijuana seeds to germinate. This process is far better than just simply putting a seed in the ground and wishing for the best. This is used by medical cannabis cultivators above most others thanks to its solid results.
